Frequently Asked Questions

Do you really offer a 100% guarantee?

Yes!!! We stand by our service 100%, which is why we offer an unmatched money-back guarantee. If for any reason, at any time, you do not like the service, we will give you your money back. Every single cent.

My budget is so small, I'm unable to afford anything until I actually sell some units. How can you help me?

We have two solutions. The first is our Intermediate subscription level which is only $19 for studios that ship less than 10,000 game units. The second option is if you've never signed up before, you can sign up for the free two week Mini Premium 5 trial.

I already have a real live musician I work with all the time, why should I use your service?

Great question...What if you have a last second project? What if you forgot something and at the the very end of a project, need some extra music? What if you lost the original score? What if one of those scenarios happened, and your musician is out of the office, or on vacation, too busy on another project, or just unavailable? This is another tool in your box, ready and available for when you need it, always. We're not looking to replace your musician, we want to work beside them, with you.

What makes you different from other music providers?

It depends on who you are comparing us to. We are different from other music libraries because all this music is ours. We're not reselling someone else's music for commission, and adding an extra layer of fees. We are different from live musicians because we are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year, and, we can deliver a new, original, high quality composition in minutes, instead of weeks.

Why do you ask for so much information?

Music licenses are legal documents therefore full names and addresses must be used when creating them. If you feel registration takes too much time, then contact us, and we can do the registration process for you. Just remember, we will still need all of your contact info, but an email signature should be sufficient.

Is this a service like Spotify or Amazon Music?

No. This is more like Office365 or DropBox. Our website offers a service. Paying a subscription fee gives you access to the service. The benefits from the service depend on your subscription level.

Can I hear some samples?

Yes! Go to Make Music. The New Music tab allows anyone to preview music.

Can I try out the real time composition?

Yes! Go to Make Music. The Custom Music tab allows anyone to try out the feature and preview the song.

How long does it take to make a song?

If you choose a song from the library, it is instantly available. If you choose to have the website compose a song, it will be availble right on the page within one to three minutes. The time depends on the number of bars you choose.

Hey, I signed up, why has nothing happened?

There is a possibility your email provider or your email application is black listing emails from us as spam. Access your email settings and manually whitelist emails from shuhbang.com. Once you have done that, email us and let us know you have not received an email. We will resend our Welcome message with your login details.

How do I get my money back?

What happens when I get a refund?

We will issue a refund through PayPal. In addition, we will rescind all licensing contracts, and/or re-acquire copyrights if they were transferred. Your account will be suspended. After a month, your information will be deleted from our database.

Do I have to download anything?

No. This is a SaaS (Software as a Service) web site. All work is done on our servers. You will never have to download and install any software to your computer. You will want to download any songs you want to keep.

How do I get my songs?

As soon as you accept the license for the music you have chosen, the song is available for download using the music control on the web page.

How often do you update the site?

We have a variable update timeline. Sometimes a new version is sent out a couple days after the previous one, and sometimes a couple of weeks.

What can I use this music for?

It depends on your subscription level. Look at the Join page to see the details. The quick version is, you cannot monetize music licensed with the Personal level, you can monetize music licensed with the Intermediate level, but cannot use the music in a commercial or broadcast it, or use it in a movie. All other licenses allow any use. Remember, Premium and Mini 1, 3, and 5 actually transfer the copyright to you. You own the song and can do anything you want with it.

What happens if my ShuhBang licensed music receives a YouTube infringement claim?

Find the license you downloaded from the ShuhBang website. Go to this page: YouTube Disputes

How many songs are in your library?

We have thousands of songs in our library, and we are adding more all the time. Plus, you can have the website create a custom song just for you.

I tried to make a song and it sucks, do I have to keep it?

Nope. You can either re-load the page or change some song paramters and hit the "Create Song" button again. If you don't want it, you don't have to take it.

Wow! Something insane happened and I need to upgrade my subscription. Can I do that and upgrade my songs as well?

Sure. We'll do our best to accomadate each customer individually, but the process will be simply paying the difference between the old and new subscriptions, then applying a pro-rated discount based on how much time is left in your annual subscription. We then have to issue a new agreement for each song you already have licensed.
